OET availability at NETC Sydney

Due to the current global pandemic and Australia's closed borders, we are not currently offering OET at NETC Sydney. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Our Brisbane and Perth test centres remain unaffected and continue to deliver OET.  


COVID-19 health requirements

NETC Brisbane

NETC Brisbane continues to follow the health directives issued by the Queensland Government. 

From 5 March 2022, in line with the Queensland Government health directives, masks are no longer mandatory while on site.

There is no requirement to show vaccination status at NETC Brisbane.


NETC Perth

NETC Perth continues to follow the health directives as issued by the WA Government. 

In line with the WA Government health directives, candidates no longer need to check in using the Safe WA app.

As of Friday 29th April, masks will no longer be required at this venue.


All NETC venues

NETC supports and encourages the use of masks, physical distancing, and vaccination as effective ways in which we can do our utmost in terms of infection control during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please stay safe and remember to check the official information from your state Government.


Health precautions on test day due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Our top priority is the health and safety of all candidates and staff.

We have introduced health precautions in the test centre on test day in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic. These precautions will mean some test day processes will be different than previously and will likely make the test day experience slightly longer for you; for example entry to and exit from test rooms will be staggered so that we can maintain appropriate physical distancing between all people. 

We thank you in advance for working with us as we follow the advice of the Australian Federal and State Government health authorities to ensure a safe test environment for all.


Please do not attend your test if any of the below apply to you

  • You are currently required to be in quarantine as requested by a government or health authority
  • You have been designated a close contact of any person suspected to be exposed to COVID-19
  • You have a cold, fever, are short of breath or have flu-like symptoms.

If any of the above apply, please contact the test partner directly as soon as possible so that they can assist with your test enrolment.


On test day

  • Please follow hygiene practices such as using the hand-sanitiser provided on test day
  • Please maintain physical distancing whenever possible
  • Please listen to and follow the advice of any test day staff who endeavour to ensure physical distancing requirements are being followed


After your test

If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 less than 14 days after you took your test, you are requested to report this to the test centre by email at This will help ensure we can communicate with other test takers and follow government advice.
