When are IELTS test results available?

Results are usually available online 13 days after your test day from 5.00pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT). 

How will I get my IELTS test results?

Provisional online results

You can preview your provisional IELTS test results online. Results are usually available online 13 days after your test day from 5.00pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT). This preview of results is gradually rolled out over 24 hours. Your IELTS result will remain available for 28 days thereafter.

To access your provisional online results you will need the following information:

• Test date
• Date of birth
• Given name(s)
• Family name or Surname

Paper results

Results will be posted to the address you nominated during the application process. To maintain the security of your results, we cannot provide them by phone, fax or email. 

If you sit the test in Sydney, you may choose to collect your results in person. View FAQ for details.

Things to remember

Please be aware that occasionally IELTS Australia may delay the release of IELTS results, which can delay your results being delivered. NETC has no control over these delays, and will post you the results as soon as IELTS Australia releases them.

Scores are recorded on what is referred to as a Test Report Form (TRF), showing overall ability as well as performance in listening, reading, writing and speaking.  You will only receive one TRF.

Different institutions have their own entrance requirements and may require minimum scores in particular components. You are advised to check the score required with the particular institution to which you are applying.

What if I disagree with my IELTS test results?

You can request a remark, referred to as an Enquiry on Results (EoR).  To submit an EoR, you need to submit an IELTS Enquiry on Results Form within 6 weeks of your test date. The processing time of EOR is 2-21 days.  You can apply for a remark on one or all of the modules.

If any component is re-marked higher than the original score you will receive a full refund of your remark fee and a reprinted TRF.

Can I get additional copies of my IELTS test results?

We can provide your IELTS test results - the Test Report Form (TRF) - to an institution of your choosing.

If you have already taken your test and would like to request additional copies of your TRF, you can do so by completing an Additional Test Report Form and returning it to us.

On the Additional Test Report Form, you are required to write the date, month and year of your chosen test, your candidate number and complete details of the institution where your additional TRF needs to be sent. If your your test result is more than 24 months old, you cannot get an additional TRF.
